In response to the Waldo Canyon Fire, the Pikes Peak Community Foundation created The Waldo Canyon Fire Fund (WCFF) to provide financial resources to the El Paso and Teller County nonprofits, public entites, and government agencies assisting with the Waldo Canyon Fire. Initially, the WCFF funded organizations which directly assisted with the firefighting efforts, and the focus has now shifted to recovery and restoration of the Waldo Canyon burn area, as well as fire mitigation throughout the Pikes Peak Region.

Pikes Peak Community Foundation also supports the Waldo Canyon Heroes Book Fund that provides underwriting for the cost of the production and publication of “Signs of Hope: A Tribute to the Heroes of Waldo Canyon”. 100% of the funds raised in the Heroes Book Fund will go support to the costs of printing this high quality coffee-table book. Additionally, 100% of the sales of the book itself will go to the Waldo Canyon Fire Fund.
