El Paso County Enterprise Zone
The Pikes Peak Community Foundation and Venetucci
Farm are now recognized as projects within the El Paso County
Enterprise Zone. This means significant tax advantages for potential
donors to the Foundation and the Farm.
Contributions made to the El Paso County
Enterprise Zone designated for the Foundation or Venetucci Farm of
$500 or more will generate a state income tax credit equal to 25% of
the contribution, up to a limit of $100,000 per year. And, these
contributions also qualify for the federal charitable deduction as
applicable under current law. Individuals and corporate Colorado
taxpayers are eligible for the credit regardless of their location
with respect to the Zone.
Contributors can take a 25% tax credit, up to
$100,000 per year, for contributions made to Venetucci Farm or the
Foundation. Please be aware that the credit is limited to the
donor’s Colorado
income tax liability, but credits can be carried forward five years.
Call Bob (x111) or Amy Sue (x110) for more
information at 389-1251. We’ll send you the certification form
for the Enterprise Zone and help you gain the maximum tax advantages
possible while supporting historic Venetucci Farm and the Pikes Peak
Community Foundation.
Remember that all Enterprise
Zone donations must be made payable to “El Paso County
Enterprise Zone” with a designation for the Pikes Peak
Community Foundation or Venetucci Farm.
Remember also that
“in-kind” donations and gifts of securities qualify, but
only for a 12.5% credit.
