May 24th, 7:00 p.m. | $10.00
Cahalen Morrison and Eli West

Cahalen Morrison & Eli West are, simply put, two of the most innovative and subtle roots musicians today. Their music draws from old folk sources, but it sounds vibrantly alive. Cahalen Morrison writes songs that sound like a Cormac McCarthy novel: simple, beautifully crafted, and seemingly formed from raw natural elements. Eli West brings jagged, angular arrangements based in bluegrass and old-time, but refracted through a 21st century lens. Read on ...

Out of Nowhere
Come listen to Out of Nowhere, comprised of Rob Tobiassen (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Emily Willson (fiddle, mandolin), Jonny Slumpff (banjo) Tony Peduto (vocals, mandolin, guitar) and Corinne Nelson (bass, vocals).  In their bluegrass and acoustic music mix, they make traditional (and not so traditional) tunes all their own. Add in their harmonic twists plus the fun they have together, and you’ve got a show you don’t want to miss.  Out of Nowhere has been playing regionally since 2010.

July 26th, 7:00 p.m. | $5.00
Waiting on Trial
Never having any interest in doing things the standard way, the band plays almost entirely original material, occasionally throwing in the unexpected cover song. Their roots lie in bluegrass due to the nature of their instrumentation, however some inspirational bands have been non-traditional such as The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Social Distortion, and John Prine.

August 23rd, 7:00 p.m. | $5.00
The Sister Brothers

The Sister Brothers celebrate good country songs served without artificial ingredients.  They play a swing tune or two, fiddle tunes, some bluegrass, some folk. They sing songs that review the salient characteristics of Iowa, orphanhood, old-fashioned love, lost love, found love, misplaced love, love that crushes you like a monochromatic Kansas farmhouse dropped by a tornado, loneliness, bandits, the South, the South again, birthdays and their concomitant rehashing of the prior twelve months’ personal failures, small towns, big towns, ginormous towns and the Wrong Side of the Tracks.  And the South.
