Friends of Julie Penrose Fountain

The Continuum - Julie Penrose Fountain, designed by David Barber and Bill Burgess, is a sculptural fountain representing the life-giving movement of water between the atmosphere and the earth.  The fountain was originally funded, in part, by a generous gift to the City of Colorado Springs from the El Pomar Foundation in order to advance Julie Penrose’s passion for arts and culture.  It provides a free, safe entertainment for children and adults of all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. 

The Friends of Julie Penrose Fountain is a non-profit fund of the Pikes Peak Community Foundation and accepts tax-deductible donations from the public to sustain the operating and maintenance costs of this fountain in perpetuity, ensuring that the Julie Penrose Fountain remains free for all to enjoy.
