Venetucci offers tours of the farm. These tours can be an overview of the entire farm or a more in depth exploration of one particular aspect. Tours can be tailored to fit a specific curriculum need and each tour is adapted to the age and interest of students and teachers.
Past tours have covered an array of topics including, for older students: how we run a diversified small farm, food economics in the modern world, the importance of local farms and how we farm sustainably and without chemicals. For our younger visitors we often focus on the roles played by the farm animals (both domestic and wild) and how that fits into growing the plants and animals we raise for food.
These tours are open to groups of all ages from pre-schoolers through college students and adults. All tours include hands-on experiential activities, which vary with the seasons.
Starting May 3rd: For individuals, families, and small groups under 10, Venetucci Farm offers Self-Guided Farm Tours. Maps are available and the Self-Guided Tours of the Farm can take place Tuesday-Friday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Starting June 11th: The Farm Stand is open on Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. through the end of October. Self-Guided Farm Tours can be done on Saturdays when the Farm Stand is open. There is no cost for the self-guided tour and reservations are not required.
