Memorial Funds

In Memory

When a loved one passes away, many families and friends wish to create a lasting legacy in honor of his or her life. Making the decision of which charity or charities should receive donations can be daunting during this time of loss. A memorial endowment fund gives you time to consider how best to represent your loved one’s passions and interests.

Heather Campbell Chaney Environmental Fellowship

Following Heather’s death in 2001, her family established the Heather Campbell Chaney Environmental Fellowship to promote her passion for bringing a strong environmental ethic to our region’s youth.  For each summer since her death, Heather’s Fellowship has been supporting the science-based education programs at the Catamount Institute and subsequently Palmer Land Trust, in Colorado Springs with a  grant designated for a highly motivated educator for a 10-12 week period.
